Moving Our System Forward
From Compliance to Competence
Competency-Based
High-performing organizations know that their success depends on their team. They know that they need to train that team to meet the specific demands of their organization.
We empower you to develop role-specific competencies for your team members, and create tools that assess and document an individual’s ability to fill those roles. Competencies, when they are properly designed, translate your organization’s vision into employee behaviors that meet those goals.
Developing the Five C’s

Earning Worker Commitment
Cultivating a workforce that is engaged in your efforts to develop a stronger, more connected team.
This alliance is committed to advocating for, supporting, and influencing state-wide initiatives in Long-Term care. We are here to champion workforce development achievements and innovatively address issues by convening with the AHCCCS LTC WFD Advisory Council.
Aligning Workplace Culture
Developing a shared vision of the integrated healthcare process from a member’s perspective – including philosophy, experience, and delivery.
We will advocate for increased access to the workforce for those populations that face any significant barriers or challenges. As an alliance we will support the growth and utilization of competency matrices to assist providers with creating a well-versed provider network that has infused competency-based learning into all aspects of their organization.

Establishing Workplace Connectivity
Increasing communication, collaboration, and innovation with internal and external customers to promote better healthcare outcomes.
We will build pipeline partnerships that align business, workforce, education, human capital, and economic development policies and programs that sustain a healthy local workforce across the state of AZ.
Developing Worker Capability
Building employees’ skills through a continuous, transforming system of training for competency, evaluation, and development.
Our Alliance will work to close the skills gap and assist in the development, retention, and growth of the workforce by ensuring new entrants into the workforce have the necessary skills to succeed through means of promoting employee retention programs, career ladders and lattices, on the job training, lifelong learning, and competency tracking.

Building Workforce Capacity
Ensuring a sufficient workforce to meet patients’ needs, planning ahead to identify future demands and possibilities.
We strive to develop strategies to involve and collaborate with contractors, stakeholders, members, families and the general public (Industry, Education, and Community Groups) in the development and implementation of the Workforce Development Plan.
